Priorities
I am a first-year Bsc Media, Communication, and Sociology student. I am not afraid to be vocal to make a difference and have done so through multiple social media platforms. With a desire to make positive changes for my fellow peers, I became a Programme Rep and successfully helped make significant changes in the program. If I commit, I deliver.
Mental Health, Wellbeing and Student Support
Many of us feel underrepresented, unheard, and unsupported. Services currently available implore excessive information, causing chaos and confusion. If consolidated, a society can be created where everyone feels heard and welcomed.
Student Communities & Events (Student Societies and Sports)
Working in most media-related fields requires prominent networking skills in order to establish contacts. This skill should be practiced from day 1, however, due to a lack of communication and disconnection between the schools, it is difficult to communicate with students in other programs.
Careers and Employability
Every student is anxious regarding the employability options available post-university. There needs to be more easily available information regarding the opportunities available after, or even during one's course in the form of internships, etc.
